Training Practice

We are an accredited GP training practice. We also train other staff.

This will mean at times a trainee doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional might be present during a consultation or indeed might see you themselves.

Trainees will always be supervised to ensuring we continue to train new healthcare staff and you continue to get the best care.

This includes a GP Registrar. They are qualified doctors gaining experience in general practice over a year.

We also have Foundation year doctor (doctor usually in first 2 years of becoming a doctor attached to the practice for 4 months).

Medical students attached to the practice for during their final years university.

We will always check you are OK with trainees sitting in to consultations.

Video recording of consultations is occasionally needed, purely for training purposes. The recordings are kept securely and erased after a maximum of 6 months. Patients will always be informed in advance and can elect to have the camera switched off if preferred.
